Our History
Acting Mastery Academy was founded in 2005 by renowned stage actress, Eleanor Vance, with the vision of providing comprehensive and accessible acting training to aspiring performers in New York City. Eleanor, having spent decades on Broadway and in regional theaters, recognized a need for an academy that not only taught fundamental acting techniques but also nurtured the unique artistic voice of each student.
Initially, the academy operated out of a small studio in the Theater District, offering a limited number of workshops and classes. However, word quickly spread about the quality of instruction and the personalized attention students received. Within a few years, Acting Mastery Academy grew exponentially, attracting students from across the United States and internationally. The academy relocated to its current, larger facility on Broadway in 2010, solidifying its position as a leading institution for acting education.
Over the years, Acting Mastery Academy has produced numerous successful alumni who have gone on to careers in film, television, and theater. The academy continues to evolve, adapting its curriculum to reflect the ever-changing landscape of the entertainment industry while remaining committed to its core values of excellence, integrity, and creativity.
Our Philosophy

Our Faculty

Anya Petrova
Anya is a screen acting instructor focused on the nuances of acting in film and TV. With multiple award wins, she is keen on sharing her knowledge. She is known for her sharp and intuitive approach to screen acting.
Beyond those, our faculty includes a diverse range of instructors specializing in voice and speech, movement, improvisation, and stage combat. Our location on Broadway provides students with unparalleled access to the vibrant theater scene in New York City. The Academy is easily accessible by public transportation and is surrounded by theaters, casting agencies, and other industry resources.
Our facilities also include a library with a vast collection of plays, scripts, and acting resources, as well as a computer lab with access to industry-standard software. We are constantly investing in our facilities to ensure that our students have the tools they need to excel.
